Bloomburg jumps right to the point with a new article today called “Tesla’s Sales in Europe Fall to a 15-Month Low”
The carmaker registered just 13,951 vehicles in April, the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association said Wednesday, down 2.3% from a year ago and its worst tally since January 2023. Tesla’s result was an exception in an otherwise encouraging month for battery-electric vehicle sales, which rose 14% industrywide.
…Musk told investors on April 23 that the company expected to bounce back from several issues that affected production in the first quarter, including Red Sea shipping disruptions and the suspected arson of power lines near its German sport utility vehicle plant.
“We think Q2 will be a lot better,” Musk said during Tesla’s first-quarter earnings call.
…in Germany — Europe’s biggest car market — Tesla underperformed peers last month. Overall EV registrations were broadly flat, whereas Tesla’s sales plunged 32%.
In the UK, Tesla registrations fell 25% in April and have slumped 14% in the first four months of the year.

Axios reports that only VW ranks lower than Tesla in reputation.
“Very suddenly there was a very dramatic drop, so everyone seated and not wearing a seatbelt was launched immediately into the ceiling,” 28-year-old student Dzafran Azmir told Reuters.
“I saw people from across the aisle just going completely horizontal, hitting the ceiling and landing back down in really awkward positions. People getting massive gashes in the head concussions.”
Mr Azmir added that people’s heads had slammed into the overhead panels above the seats and “pushed through” some of the panels.
After an emergency landing nearly 90 people (out of 140) were receiving medical treatment for injuries, including six crew.

WESTFIELD, NJ – A Tesla Crashed up against a house at 1518 Central Avenue causing the road to be shut while emergency responders extricated the victims from the vehicle. At least one of the victims was transported by EMS to an area hospital.

A motorcyclist died in a head-on collision with a black Tesla in Caledonia Saturday morning — the Tesla driver was arrested for homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle among several other charges.
The driver of the Tesla was headed West on four-mile road near the 6000 block when he went to pass the car in front of him. The motorcyclist was traveling in the opposite direction and the Tesla hit the motorcycle head-on, according to a release by the Caledonia Police Department.
The motorcyclist was thrown on the side of the road and was pronounced dead when police arrived.
Tell me this isn’t foreshadowing of millions of centrally planned and controlled road robots operating negligently, killing the people around them on public roads.
