Tesla Software Crash. Driver in Shock as Controls Freeze at Highway Speed

A brand new Model 3 Tesla had a software crash while at highway speed. Yes, you read that right.

And let me reiterate here just to be clear.

BRAND NEW TESLA SOFTWARE UNSAFE FOR USE.

A driver says he was terrified to be in his new car when he realized its design failure meant all controls went offline at highway speed.

The owner of a new Tesla Model 3 was left in shock after the car’s main features allegedly froze while he was driving on the freeway.

Javier Rodriguez of Irvine spoke with Eyewitness News on Tuesday and said it happened last Thursday while he was heading westbound on the 10 Freeway through Cabazon.

He said the car was stuck going 83 mph and the main screen was frozen.

He said all of the buttons and switches – including turn signals and hazard lights – were not working.

It is an understatement to say Tesla is some of the worst engineering quality in history. A Belgian court just ruled that owners deserve a full refund due to the unacceptably high rate of design failures and defects.

The Belgian court made a point of saying Tesla was uncooperative with investigations of safety. You see that play out in this case as well, with a BRAND NEW TESLA.

An officer with the California Highway Patrol helped Rodriguez get off the freeway, where he eventually had the car towed.

He said Tesla later told him they fixed the vehicle, but all they would say about what happened was what he said they wrote in the report.

“Diagnosed and found poor communication from charge port door causing power conversion system to shut off in order to protect on board components during drive,” Rodriguez recalled.

Now, Rodriguez is worried that some kind of safety feature on the car could cause the onboard computer to shut itself down with no warning.

All Tesla would say is that their design shuts down all the car controls in order to protect Tesla components during drive?

No wonder this owner is still worried. Nobody should buy, drive or ride in a Tesla.

Look at their newest and latest “Truck” concept car. It has been delayed for years already, and probably will be delayed more given the latest leaks showing… massive body panel leaks, unsafe cage, poor braking, unstable handling, etc etc etc. Look at their newest and latest “Semi” concept truck. It has been delayed for years already… a total disaster.

It’s unclear who still works at Tesla, however it is very clear from “all Tesla would say” notes that they do not care about or value human life.

Tesla Software Crash on “Summon” Function

The safety of Tesla’s “summon” concept is entirely suspect.

What if it kills many people on its way? Uber tried, and failed, to argue a trivial software switch made the company not liable for murder while en route to pick up a rider.

A Tesla owner summons it in a parking lot. The Tesla runs over a woman and her child walking in the lot to their car and kills them. Who’s at fault?

A Tesla owner summons it on the street. The Tesla drives on the sidewalk and kills three pedestrians, before high-speed hitting a pole, spinning out of control and causing an eight car pileup. Who’s at fault?

What quality check is used to prevent these safety failures? What loopholes will Tesla try to exploit to avoid liability for its rushed design flaws?

Here’s another taste of Tesla’s low quality engineering haste.

With GmsCore v0.2.28.231657 when selecting “Location” or “Summon” the Tesla Motors app (com.teslamotors.tesla) crashes.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Start the Tesla Motors app
2. Click on ‘Location’ or ‘ Summon’
3. The app crashes

This gives “crashing” on “summon” new meaning. Or does it?

Why trust “summon” from the lowest quality car made in history?

The Belgian court has just ruled Tesla engineering is so subpar and dangerous, “luxury” cars so poorly made, owners can get a full refund.

GmsCore is to allow applications designed for Google Play to run on systems that do not have it available. It’s part of the microG project, a German government sponsored Google free reimplementation of Android.

Belgian Court: Tesla Must Fully Refund Owner

Tesla infamously was started by someone else, someone who cared a lot about cars.

Then it was forcibly taken over (stolen, really) by a dubiously rich man from South Africa who doesn’t know a thing about cars, doesn’t even know how to drive (crashed his uninsured $1M McClaren after just 10K miles), and most of all doesn’t care about anything but getting rich from attention.

Tesla thus always has been an African advance fee fraud (AFF) formula, and courts are finally beginning to figure this out.

A Belgian court found Tesla unhelpful and opaque, as fraudsters typically are. Then the court ruled a full refund is due to the unfortunate Tesla owner.

…Model S P100D electric vehicle – was plagued with serious problems. The Antwerp Court of Appeal found in his favour, confirming the existence of serious shortcomings in terms of the car’s driving comfort and safety.

In a Het Laatste Nieuws article published on Saturday, the customer listed a host of issues with his vehicle from day one: faulty sensors, imperfect brakes, and a defective display screen. All of these problems were confirmed by an independent investigation carried out by experts.

In its ruling, the Court of Appeal also criticised Tesla’s failure to cooperate with the investigation, in particular by failing to provide the court-appointed experts with data relating to the vehicle.

Plagued with problems.

Faulty sensors.

Faulty brakes.

Faulty control console.

No cooperation from the people responsible for the faults.

This is not a car that should be operating on public roads. That is not an exaggeration. It is unsafe at any speed, as you can read any day from places where Tesla still is allowed to operate.

New car.

Main features frozen while driving on the freeway.

At this point, local law enforcement should stop and impound the dangerously unsafe Tesla and consider whether any person selling a Tesla should investigated for fraud.

Without fraud there would be no Tesla.

Yet Another “Veered” Tesla Crash Kills Mother and Child

Lately it seems a software update to Tesla cars has them abruptly “veering” into other cars and off the road into trees.

A half-dozen crashes recently have all the same hallmark of a serious AI/robot integrity breach, with most of them being fatal.

Here’s one that just killed a mother and daughter.

A Los Gatos mother and daughter died Wednesday when the Tesla in which they were riding crashed into a tree on the side of San Tomas Expressway in Santa Clara.

The woman, 44, and her 12-year-old daughter were traveling north in a white 2021 Tesla Model Y, approaching Forbes Avenue, when the car left the road and struck the tree about 2 p.m.

Technically it looks like the car “veered” abruptly just north of Forbes Avenue.

What kind of mother lets their daughter ride in a Tesla? Seriously. Did she not read the news?
