Tesla Crashes Into Back of Police Car *Again*

Early 2016 was the first fatality by Tesla driverless, when the software drove high speed into the back of a bright yellow service truck with flashing lights.

Fast forward to the end of 2024:

A Tesla driver was arrested early Monday morning after crashing into a stationary patrol vehicle on I-75 near Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard. The incident occurred around 12:15 a.m. when an Atlanta police officer was blocking lanes with emergency lights and sirens activated to investigate a prior crash. According to investigators, the Tesla struck the patrol car from behind.

Police arrested the driver for following Elon Musk’s fraudulent claims that owners can rely on his software to drive them (like a taxi) when drunk.
