You may have noticed some changes to the flyingpenguin site. This is part of a major upgrade effort. Traffic increased enough, and technology changed enough since the last upgrade, that several enhancements just have been made.

Phase one involved moving from physical to virtual. During this phase the site was redesigned slightly. Resources can now be added dynamically to handle changes in load (demand has been steadily increasing, but it always could go down ;)).

Phase two was a relocation, which involved wiring by yours truly. Although the virtual world is always fun, something about working with hand-tools and bending copper also can be deeply satisfying. It came from the deep…
