Pearse’s Letter to Preserve his Poems

One of the poets who led the Easter Rising, Padraig Pearse, wrote a letter in prison “to the General Commanding British forces in Ireland”. He requested his captors preserve four poems taken from him and deliver them to his mother or sister. Apparently the original letter is soon to be auctioned in Dublin.
